The Combo J7+ isn't equipped with the smart mopping features that we have in our top pick, however it still does an impressive job of cleaning. And it has a strong suction that we were awestruck with, even though it'sn't as powerful as the iRobot Roomba 694's.

The only real drawback is that you can mop with the iRobot Combo if your mopping pad is connected and the 210 ml tank is filled. If one of these is missing, it vacuums. The iRobot App allows you to monitor the tank's water level and send alerts when it is low.

2. Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is a sturdy budget-friendly robot that's ideal for mopping and vacuuming. The mopping efficiency, especially considering the cost, is quite impressive. It works well on hard floors and carpets cleaning up small to large debris (think hair tangles, or cat litter). It's also great for cleaning up messes, spills and staining. It is also excellent for cleaning stairs and places where it is easy to get stuck.

The mopping system utilizes the rotating pad to scrub your floors with water, which lifts dirt and grime, even on stubbed-on spots. The pad is also thoroughly dried by circulating 45 minutes of warm air following each cleaning, preventing the growth of mold and unpleasant smells. You can control the robot via the Roborock app or your voice to start mopping or change settings, and much more.

Its vacuuming capabilities are also top-of-the-line. It is equipped with an efficient vacuum and a high-efficiency filter which captures all types of debris, from fine to large. The only issue is that it does not perform as well against pet hair on carpet. After two vacuuming sessions at maximum power 10 percent of pet hair was left on the surface. This is not unheard of.

The Q Revo has plenty of things to offer with its outstanding cleaning and mopping to its amazing navigation and obstacle avoidance. It's not as effective as the higher-end robot vacuum and mop, but it is still an excellent choice for those with a limited budget. Additionally, it can charge up to 30% more than its predecessors and Best Robot vacuum and mop Self-empty works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Siri Shortcuts. 3. Yeedi Cube

The Yeedi Cube vacuum/mop robot is inexpensive and comes with many great features. The set-up was simple and took just five minutes. After removal of the tape for manufacturing and protective plastic, a quick scan of the QR code within the app gets you started. The app is user-friendly and guides you through the process in a simple manner. Once the Cube is configured, the Cube is ready to begin mapping and cleaning.

The app lets you modify your home's layout and create maps that the robot can follow. The app also lets you divide rooms into smaller sections to better meet your needs. For example, you can make a map for the kitchen and another one for the living area, allowing the robot vacuum mop self empty to clean the floors of each room at different times.

The Yeedi Cube is unique compared to other robots I've test. It has an industrial design. Its base station is more modular than other models, with the dirty water tank and auto-empty feature on one side, and the vacuum on the other. The mop pad that is reusable is also a separate piece, fitting into the top of the robot and affixed to a handle on the front for easy removal and refilling.

The vacuum is as effective as any robot I've ever examined, and it comes with two side brushes as opposed to the single brush on most models. This increases the vacuum's coverage area and decreases the chance of debris getting lost around walls and furniture. It has some issues with object recognition and tends to run into objects like the carpet with tassels in my office.

4. iRobot Braava Jet m6

The iRobot Braava Jet m6 is a powerful robot mop that can do its job well and keeps your floors looking good on a regular basis. It's not able to perform the vacuuming jobs of the other hybrids listed here and does not transition to carpets or rugs as they can, but it has a long battery life, smart mopping features and is a great choice for maintaining your hard floors in a smaller to mid-sized home.

It operates in dry sweeping mode, too, cleaning up to 1,000 square feet at one charge. It is also able to map your floor plan using the iRobot App and clean rooms in sequence using compatible Roomba Vacuums.

When it is used in wet mopping mode, the m6 uses a precision spray to dampen the floor in straight efficient lines. It was fascinating to watch, and it was able to remove even the most stubborn dried-in coffee and juice staining my floors. It can be programmed to use less or more water than the maximum amount set in the app.

The iRobot application is among the top available and allows you to sync with your home wifi easy. It's loaded with user-friendly functions like scheduling, room partitioning and creating no-go zones that allow you fine control over the machine. It also allows you to see how much battery power remains to give you an accurate estimate of how long it's left before having to be docked and recharged. The m6 is available at My Robot Centre for PS499 in the UK and at the iRobot Store in the US for just $399 and on Amazon (where the m6 is currently on sale). It's available in graphite and white.

5. Shark RV2610WA

The price of robotic vacuum and mop cleaners is a big issue. They are convenient, but they can also be expensive. The Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum and Mop with XL HEPA Self-Empty base, which we reviewed here, Best Robot vacuum and mop Self-empty will set you back $699 / PS559 / about AU$1,054. If you don't purchase the charging base, you'll still need to shell out $549/PS395/about $775 AUD.

The Shark RV2610WA is a good choice for anyone who needs a versatile robot that can tackle both mopping and vacuuming. It can also deep clean stubborn stains using the stain-lifting tool included in the package. The app lets you program the machine to clean at a certain time and day. It also has an advanced feature that lets you to control your robot even when you are away.

The Shark vacuum cleaner is good at cleaning and can remove the majority of debris. However, it's not as efficient on carpets. It's easy to trap pet hair in the brushroll, and the dirt compartment can get stuffed quite quickly. There are a lot of parts that need regular maintenance and replacement, which could result in recurring costs over time.

For the money, there are better options on the market. The iRobot Combo J7 Plus offers better performance both on carpets that are not bare and with high pile. It's built better and has a bigger dust bin and is able to maneuver around obstacles like electrical cords with ease. The iRobot cleaner is more expensive, but it's is worth it if your goal is a versatile vacuum that can do both tasks with ease.
